After starting Friday in negative territory, following global markets, the UX made up ground over the day to close flat at 2,649.55, supported by positive employment statistics reported in the U.S. Market activity picked up slightly, with total equity turnover reaching UAH 185.0 mln. The most active stocks by turnover were Motor Sich (MSICH UK), down 0.95% on UAH 33.1 mln, and Avdiivka Coke (AVDK UK), up 0.54% on UAH 21.2 mln. The day’s best performers among blue chips were Ukrsotsbank (USCB UK), up 2.51%, and Alchevsk Iron & Steel (ALMK UK), up 2.39%. At the other side of the ledger were Stakhaniv Wagon (SVGZ UK), down 2.94%, and Ukrnafta (UNAF UK), down 1.50%. Both the PFTS and UX will resume a normal trading schedule today, after taking the day off yesterday for Victory Day.
